Upon taking a course, booking a course and or receiving your certificate you agree to the following terms and conditions:
You fully understand the Boat, Thoery or PWC course which you are taking is to be taught in English.

The course syllabus and notes are in English should the student require a set in their language this will be done at their own cost.
Whilst the certificate you gain is a course completion certificate and should be recognised however, it is down to the responsibility of you the individual student to ensure that the certificate is accepted in the area / country / region of use. We can not be held responsible monetary or legally for any matter which arises because of any certificate now or in the future not being accepted as valid in any particular area / country / region. You fully recognise, understand and accept IMSO are not affiliated or work or issue on behalf of any government body.
Course notes: Course notes may be delivered electronically to your named email address with a hard copy on disk to follow. Any payment for course notes can be used in the future as part payment when booking a training course. Course notes CD will be delivered by The Royal Mail to be signed for service. For international deliveries Course Notes CD's will be delivered by The Royal Mail International to be signed for service,
Goods: Goods will be delivered by The Royal Mail to be signed for service. For international deliveries of goods will be delivered by The Royal Mail International to be signed for service.
For domestic deliveries please allow 5 working days to receive goods for international this can take up to 15 working days. Once goods or course notes are processed for delivery you will receive an email to your named email address to advise the tracking numg number.
Refunds:
Courses and Course Notes.
No refunds will be given to any person regardless of the reason unless the course is cancelled in writing (email accepted) 1 week before the course start date. Any person not attending a course without notice will not be entitled to any refund of money already paid. Any monies paid for course notes are non-fundable. Refunds will not be given for lost or stolen certificates. Refunds will not be given in the event the country where you are using the certificate does not accept it as a valid for the purposes it was issued for.
You understand there is an element of risk in any form of boating and realise there is a chance of an accident occurring. You accept and assume all risk.
While every effort is made by IMSO and any member schools / Independent instructors to provide safety equipment and protective gear, You assume the responsibility of clothing yourself in suitable attire for a classroom; workshop and boating environment (i.e. long sleeved shirts, long pants and adequate protective foot wear).
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the activities being offered by IMSO and any member schools, you, being of lawful age, on behalf of yourself, your personal representatives, heirs and next of kin release, waive any claim against, discharge and covenant not to sue IMSO and any member schools, their employees, servants, agents, contractors or any owner of any boat used by IMSO and any member schools, their heirs, administrators and executors (hereinafter collectively referred to as “releasees”) and agree not to hold any of the above named releasees liable for any claim including but without limitation, any claim for bodily or personal injuries, known or unknown, death or property damage resulting or arising from an accident or event which may occur while on, or boarding, or disembarking from any boat or facility used by the above described releasees or as a result of your participation in activities conducted by the releasees. You agree to indemnify the releasees and each of them from any loss, liability, damage or costs they may incur due to my participation whether caused solely or in part by the negligence, gross negligence or intentional conduct of the releasees.
You hereby assume full responsibility for and risk or bodily injury, death or property damage due to negligence of the releasees or otherwise while participating in activities conducted by the releasees named parties or where you are present on their premises. You expressly agree that this release, waiver and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the law and that is any portion of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall notwithstanding continue in full legal force and effect.
YOU FURTHER STATE THAT YOU HAVE CAREFULLY READ THESE TERMS INCLUSIVE OF THE RELEASE SECTION AND KNOW THE CONTENTS OF THE RELEASE AND IF YOU ARE NOT PRESENTED A RELEASE FORM TO SIGN ON THE DAY THESE TERMS WILL ACT AS IF YOU HAVE SIGNED A RELEASE AS YOUR OWN FREE ACT.
YOU FURTHER RELEASE ALL OF THE RELEASEES FROM ANY CLAIM WHATSOEVER ON ACCOUNT OF FIRST AID, TREATMENT OR SERVICES RENDERED BY THEM. THIS RELEASE CONTAINS THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES TO THIS AGREEMENT AND THE TERMS OF THIS RELEASE ARE CONTRACTUAL AND NOT A RECITAL.
